Purpose of the St. Croix Hair Sheep Breeders (SCHSB)
- To maintain a central organization to register and promote the St. Croix breed of sheep
- To support new members as they learn about St. Croix sheep and develop sheep production skills
- To engage in special projects that increase knowledge about the unique qualities of St. Croix sheep
- To facilitate communication among St. Croix owners, breeders, and commercial producers
SCHSB encourages members to produce robust, well-built, high-performance animals that thrive in a variety of management styles and environments. While some of our member-producers prefer all white and polled sheep, most focus on performance and ignore color and scurs.
