We are pleased to announce that, effective July 1, 2026, the official registrar for St. Croix Hair Sheep Breeders will transition from The Livestock Conservancy to Legacy Registries.
Important details for members:
- The online registration platform will remain Grassroots — the same familiar system you currently use.
- Unless you are notified otherwise, your member account access will be unchanged.
- All existing animal records will be fully preserved.
- You will continue to register animals and manage your records through the Grassroots portal.
- All links to the Grassroots portal will be updated on this website and sent to members via email.
No immediate action is required on your part. All registrations submitted prior to July 1, 2026, will continue to be processed under the current system. Legacy Registries will assume responsibility starting on that date.
This change reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service and support for our members and the St. Croix breed. Legacy Registries brings specialized expertise in breed registry management and will serve as our new partner for pedigree recording, registration processing, and related services.
Further information, including updated contact details, any transition procedures, and answers to frequently asked questions, will be shared in the coming weeks.
